Director of IT Technology Services

Location:  Tampa, Florida

Salary:     $110,000-$150,000 Annually.  Compensation is commensurate with level of experience.

BHM Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (BHM) is seeking a Director of IT Technology Services ("Director") to join our Behavioral Health and Medical Review services organization. BHM provides behavioral health and medical independent review services and performance improvement consulting to health plans, providers, ACOs, TPAs, workers' compensation, and other insurers nationally.


Working independently, the Director oversees the enterprise technology systems, infrastructure and administration of these for a multi-site healthcare business services company.  Provides the operation of all hardware and systems software related to supporting existing internal and external customers in a high growth and fast paced environment. The Director will operate in a cross-organizational program leadership role working with Executive Management, Operations team, Sales group and Customer Services as well as any 3rd Party technology solution provider.  Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed. The Director will keep abreast of the latest emerging trends and technology advances and be able to identify ways BHM may leverage these to improve customer service levels and revenue goals.


  • Responsible for maintenance and performance of all BHM computer systems.
  • Responsible for the security of all BHM computer systems. Including security and other software releases.
  • Perform disaster recovery testing and resolve any issues related to system architecture.
  • Manages IT vendor relationships include any URAC or other contractual requirements.
  • Perform project management duties related to software development and enhancements
  • Support all consultants and customers of BHM Healthcare Solutions by helping diagnose and resolve software, hardware, telephony and peripheral component issues.
  • Install and configure software, logins, desktops, laptops, software, telephony and peripheral components.
  • Perform required research and develop solutions using all available information resources.
  • Communicate solutions or advise of additional tasks needed to resolve issue.  Needs to effectively communicate using phone and email.
  • May administer help desk software and develop reports to monitor and track outstanding issues and develop reports to identify trends.
  • Ability to prepare activity reports.
  • Must stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Other items as assigned.

  • Bachelors Degree + 5 years equivalent subject matter experience.  MS certifications are preferred.
  • Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English.
  • Experienced in working with variety of Operating Systems such as Windows Server, VMWare, Linux as well as working with firewalls and load balancers.
  • Experienced in working in a co-location, remote support and outsourced environment.
  • Expert ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization.
  • Working ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals.
  • Working ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency and ease
  • Expert relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership
  • Proficient presentation skills to present information to an audience of varying responsibility within the company effectively
  • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, opportunities, patterns, and sustainable business solutions
  • Proficient knowledge of employee development: talent assessment, competency-based development, motivation and reward
  • Proficient ability to effectively recruit, hire, coach, train, develop, retain, and redirect others as needed in order to produce a successful team
  • Proficient ability to positively model the organization's commitment to integrity, diversity, inclusion, and maintaining a respectful workplace.
  • HITRUST and HIPAA compliance or experience.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not mandatory.
